This is the first time in pro Dota that a support player moves to mid at the Tier-1 level.
Just yesterday, we wrote that Daniil "gpk" Skutin is taking a break. Today, we learned that Vitaly "Save" Melnik will start the season in the mid lane.
A similar change happened when Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek moved from mid to support.
Save already plays heroes like Keeper of the Light, Lina, and Windranger, so he shouldn't have big problems in mid. Either way, this change will make BB Team matches even more fun to watch.
BetBoom said Save wanted this for a while:
"Vitaly has wanted to try this role for a long time. We believe in him and will support him."
Current roster BetBoom Team:
- Ilya "Kiritych" Ulyanov
- Vitaly "Save" Melnik (Mid)
- Matvey "Miero" Vasyunin
- Vladislav "Kataomi" Semenov
