This page says exactly what the site keeps about you, why, and how to get rid of it. It describes what the code actually does, not what would sound good.

Without an account

Every visit leaves the usual web-server trace: the address you came from, the page you asked for and your browser string. The country is worked out from the network address to decide which bookmakers a page may show; the address itself is not kept alongside it.

Two small settings live in your own browser and never reach us as anything but a hint of the chosen language: the site language and the colour theme. The site also uses Google Analytics to count visits.

With an account

We keep: your email if you gave one, the name you chose, the picture address if a sign-in service provided one, which services you linked and their identifiers, your site language, the country code from your first visit, and the list of teams and tournaments you marked.

A password is never stored. What is stored is a scrypt fingerprint of it, from which the password cannot be worked back.

For each device that is signed in we keep a record: a random session number, your browser string, the network address and the dates. That is what the device list on the account page shows and what lets you sign out elsewhere.

A short security log keeps sign-ins, failed sign-ins, password changes and linked services together with the network address, for ninety days. It exists so that a stolen account can be looked into.

Match reminders

If you allow notifications, your browser gives us an address to push them to, and we keep it together with what you asked to be reminded about. Turning notifications off in the browser ends it.

Map predictions

On a match page you can vote for the team you expect to take the next map; voting takes an account. The vote is kept on the account, so that the account page can count how many of your predictions came true. Votes cast before 22 October 2026 without an account were kept under a random number the browser made up, with only a fingerprint of it on our side; they stay in the totals, tied to no one.

Other readers see only the totals — what share of the votes each team has — never who voted for whom. When an account is deleted, its votes stay in the totals but are no longer tied to anyone.

Messages you write

For a comment under a news story we keep the text, the story, the language, the time, your account and a shortened fingerprint of your network address, which shows the editors that several comments came from one place. Comments are not deleted automatically. A comment removed by you or by us disappears from the site, but its text stays in our database.

For a message in the site chat we keep the text, the time, the site language and your account. Your network address is not stored with it. A message is shown with your account name and picture to everyone who opens the chat.

Every chat message is deleted from our database 30 days after it was written. If you delete a chat message yourself, or delete your account, its text is erased at once. If we remove a message, or reports from readers hide it, its text is kept for 7 days so that the decision can be checked, and is then erased.

To hold back spam, the server keeps in its memory how often each account and network address writes, who reported which message, and the last hundred messages it refused. None of this is saved anywhere, and it disappears when the server restarts.

If we stop an account from writing in chats, we keep that decision with its end date and a short reason, and delete it 30 days after it ends.

Who else sees it

Other readers see the comments you leave under news stories, together with your account name and picture, and your messages in match chats, with the same name and picture. Nothing else about you is shown to other readers. We do not sell anything and do not pass your data to bookmakers. A sign-in service learns that you signed in to this site, because that is what signing in through it means.

The data lives on the machine that serves the site.

Your data in your hands

The account page has a Delete account button. It asks for your password and then removes the email, the name, the picture, every linked service, the sessions, the favourites and the security log straight away. Your comments under news stories disappear from the site, the text of your chat messages is erased, and any chat restriction on the account is lifted. It cannot be undone.
