Following the group stage BLAST Slam VIII, the major sensational upsets involve Team Liquid and BetBoom Team, both failing to advance from the group.
There are objective reasons for these results: BB Team played with Save in the mid lane and without gpk. Liquid, on the other hand, hasn't officially announced a new midlaner yet and played at this tournament with MidOne, who performed poorly. It's enough to recall his performance on Chaos Knight and buybacks at the 3-minute mark.
