This roster swap is a forced move: jabbi returned to the active lineup because cmtry cannot play for his new team until SunPayus completes one more match for FUT Esports.
Currently, cmtry is still listed under FUT Esports in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), despite being benched and replaced by SunPayus. During the reshuffle period, cmtry transferred to Astralis.
As of today, the situation is as follows:
- SunPayus has played only 3 out of 5 matches for FUT Esports (with 1 guaranteed game queued up in the PGL Bucharest 2026 playoffs);
- cmtry has already played 4 out of 5 matches for Astralis.
FUT Esports have advanced to the PGL Bucharest 2026 playoffs, meaning SunPayus will get at least one more match.
A quarterfinals victory is crucial for FUT: if they lose, SunPayus will be stuck at 4 out of 5 matches, leaving the Major invite with FUT's roster containing cmtry instead.

- Valve's Rule: A player must complete 5 matches with a new team to lock into their roster in the VRS rankings and secure an invitation to the upcoming PGL Singapore Major 2026.
cmtry is temporarily sitting out for Astralis to avoid locking into their VRS lineup.
Under Valve's rules, if the same player is listed in two different rosters, the invite goes to the higher-ranked club—which currently is FUT Esports.
In other words, if cmtry had played just one more match for Astralis before SunPayus reached 5 games with FUT, he would have been registered on both rosters. In that case, the Danish organization would lose its chance at the Major.
This is why jabbi's gesture is so commendable: he stepped up to help his former team preserve their Major hopes. Astralis now have to practically pray for FUT Esports to win their quarterfinal match at PGL Bucharest 2026.
That victory would allow SunPayus to log his 5th required game and lock into FUT, enabling cmtry to play for Astralis without issue and qualify for Singapore following his exit from FUT.
